"I came from a public high school; no connections, no legacy. But I figured out how to get in. Let me help you do the same."
College "consultants" are great. But maybe you talk to a college student instead.
College admissions are more competitive than ever. That’s why there’s a vast college consulting industry filled with smart, helpful people - who haven’t applied to college in 20+ years.
A college "consultant" might be right for you. But I bring something different to the process. I'm a student who just did it. I have friends at dozens of colleges around the country, and I know the on-the-ground reality of student life. I know what applications worked. I know which friends are happy at the school they chose. I know which friends are surprised that their fantasy schools turned out to be different than what they expected.
Sure, you can hire a veteran who has been in "the industry" for 20 years, and you can pay that consultant a lot of money. Or you can hire me - a recent grad who figured it out, and wants to share what I've learned, so that you - parent or student - can benefit.

Who am I?
I'm a 19-year-old freshman at Cornell University majoring in Information Science. Beyond academics, I love songwriting, golf, and The Sopranos.
My application process was painful. Rejected from my Early Decision school, I quickly learned I was in it for the long haul. I wasn't confident in myself or my own interests - I tried framing myself in ways that I thought would please admission officers. I wasn't authentic, and that showed.
It wasn't until I started taking risks in my applications that I started seeing success. I applied to niche departments, I wrote weird, quirky essays. I was authentic. And it worked.
This is what I plan to do with all of my clients - find how to package their authentic selves, in ways that make them stand out without being seen as inappropriate or unserious. Not everyone will use the same strategy. The key is to find the strategy that highlights the authentic you. Together, over the course of several conversations and exercises, we will find yours.

What I Will Do for You
My consulting process is divided into 3 main phases, aiming to holistically prepare each applicant for their admissions journey.

Where To Apply
Every application process starts with finding what schools you'll like. I'm not a believer in having one singular "dream school", but rather a broad net of 14 to 20 schools that check your boxes academically, socially, and geographically.

Academic & Extracurricular Strategy
Now that we've decided on where you're going to apply, it's time to make sure you're a competitive applicant. We'll strategize target GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but also for extracurricular opportunities that will make you stand out.

Application Assistance
Finally, we'll plan out how you'll actually apply to your selected colleges. This includes a full timeline as to when each college's application should be complete, as well as specific strategies regarding your major of choice and essay topics.
